Adma's peak

A  famous pilgrimage center, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus  and Christians go alike, offers  you an incredible view at the top.Adem's peak is one of the most scenic mountain n Sri Lanka 2250m above the ground.

There are different beliefs about the huge footprint on the top of the mountain.Buddhists says that it's the foot print of lord Buddha while Muslims and Christians  believe that it's the footprint of Adam.It's load Shiva's footprint according to Hindus.

No matter whose footprint is, the reaching the place is definitely a fitness challenge. Concrete steps can be found most of the time alone the path. It takes, at least, minimum 3 hours to climb the mountain.

Witnessing the amazing dawn from the top is every pilgrimages goal.The best time to visit Adam's peak is from January to April. Make sure to be prepared for the cold. Also, I must tell you that the finding toilets along the way are a 'mission impossible'

Conclusion-Adam's peak is a temple all Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims and Christians go make you climb up at least for three hours to reach the top.

Dambulla cave temple

Dambulla cave temple is a very ancient temple complex built in natural caves. Very few parts are made of wood but the rest temple is bare black rock.It's situated near Kurunegala      km away from Colombo.

Dambulla cave temple was built in the 1st century B.C.The amazing rock ceiling paintings, the long Buddha statue and the pot fill with sacred water coming from nowhere from the ceiling are very popular sights  among visitors.

Did I mention that the temple is on a rock?(Dambulla rock).You'll find a lot of steps and concrete paths to the temple. Remember a this is a must visit. The place is amazing, peaceful and a home for lot of troupes of monkeys..

Conclusion-Dambulla cave temple is a Buddhist temple located on a rock in natural caves with amazing paintings and massive Buddha statues.

Koneshwaram Kovil/Temple

One of the most visited Hindu temples in Asia situated in Trincomalee.Guess what it's also on a rock!;)

Koneswaram kovil is located on the top of swami rock .The surrounding view of the ocean and the refreshing sea breeze is magnificent. The primary deity of Konesvaram kovil is Lord Shiva while the other two kovils are of deities Ganesh and Vishu.

The Sky-high statues of Hindu lords, the classical Dravidian architecture of the kovil and the stunning view from the top make it one of the best places to visit in Sri Lanka.

Conclusion-Koneshwaram kovil(temple) is a Hindu temple on atop Swami  rock with incredible views of the surrounded endless ocean.
